Dr. Charis Tsikkou is an Associate Professor of Mathematics in the School of Mathematical and Data Sciences at West Virginia University. Prior to her arrival at WVU, she was a post-doctoral fellow at Max Planck Institute for Mathematics in the Sciences in Leipzig, and a Visiting Assistant Professor at the Ohio State University.

Research Interests: 

Partial differential equations of mixed type; nonlinear hyperbolic conservation laws; kinetic  theory; nonlinear diffusive-dispersive equations; differential geometry
