Clark Metz grew up in Parkersburg, WV. He studied
mathematics through his college career at WVU. He received his Master’s Degree
in Applied Mathematics in 2014. He joined the faculty in the Mathematics department at WVU as a full-time
instructor in 2015. He has since begun his work on his PhD in Higher Education
Administration. Currently Clark is the course coordinator for the Math 124 course offered at
WVU. Further, Clark is a member of the WV State Math Field Day committee and is the
Assistant Coach of the WV National Math team that competes annually at the
American Regional Mathematics League competition held at Penn State each
summer. Clark is a founding member of the WVU Math Club and the WVU Bowling Club at
WVU.

Research Interests:
Clark’s area of interest revolves around student success and impacts of administrative decisions on student outcomes. Earlier work focused on Applied Mathematics, specifically with Fourier Analysis and Spectral Analysis.Recent Publications:
