Morgantown Algebra Days 2023
April 22-23, 2023
April 22-23, 2023
Morgantown Algebra Days (MAD) is a two-day commutative algebra conference which will take place at West Virginia University in Morgantown, WV on the weekend of April 22-23, 2023.
MAD started running in 2019 to promote interaction among faculty, post docs, and graduate students in commutative algebra in the Mid-Atlantic and East North Central states. The first meeting united faculty and students from a variety of institutions for inspiring talks and poster presentations.
As in 2019, the primary objective of the conference is to expose new mathematical ideas to a large group of mathematicians specializing in the subject of in commutative algebra and related disciplines.
Unfortunately, we had to cancel MAD 2020 due to COVID-19 pandemic back in April 2020. After this 3-year pandemic break, we cannot wait to get back together in April 22-23, 2023!
The conference will take place on WVU Downtown Campus and it will provide lodging for at most two nights for as many participants as possible. Priority in funding will be given to participants who have no other federal support and participants who are graduate students, post-doctoral scholars, or members of groups that are under-represented in the mathematical sciences.
