Travel Information

West Virginia University is located in Morgantown, an award winning “small” city with a metropolitan population of about 140,038. The city is at the intersection of interstate routes I-79 and I-68, with ready access to Pittsburgh (75 minutes) and Washington D.C. (3.5 hours). 

Flying

Your options are to fly directly to Morgantown’s airport (MGW), or to fly into Pittsburgh (PIT) and arrange ground transportation to Morgantown. 

Ground Transportation

Bus between the Pittsburgh Airport and Morgantown: The Mountain Line provides ground transportation between Pittsburgh and Morgantown via the Grey Line twice daily. The cost is 15 each way (30 for a round trip). If you want to check the schedule or make a reservation, please click  here .

Rental car: It is also possible to  rent a car at the Pittsburgh Airport. The distance to Morgantown is about 80 miles.
