Research Experiences for Undergraduates
June 2 - July 27, 2024
The Applied Analysis Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU) is an eight-week residential summer program in which undergraduates investigate open research problems in mathematics.
Students participate in an 8-week research program funded by the National Science Foundation (award DMS-2349040), where they work closely with faculty advisors. In addition, they attend workshops and get involved in educational activities organized by the WVU Office of Undergraduate Research.
Through weekly interactions, training, and mentoring, participants are expected to:
At the end of the 8-week program, the participants present their results at the university-wide research symposium and write summary reports on their projects.
The program will provide a stipend of $5,600, on-campus housing and meal service, and partial travel support to and from Morgantown, WV.
