The International Day of Women and Girls in Science on February 11th allows us
to honor women’s significant achievements in science and place a much-needed
focus on girls entering Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM).
The undergrad minor in Data Science was recently
approved and the catalogue is being updated to include this. The minor will
start in Fall 2022. For more information, contact Dr. Snehalata Huzurbazar (snehalata.huzurbazar@mail.wvu.edu),
the Associate Director for Data Science.
Last year the Eberly College of Arts and Sciences
established a new recognition for faculty and staff – The Eberly College Legacy
Award. This award honors those who have made significant contributions to
the Eberly College and its mission of liberal arts education. The
recipients efforts have epitomized the highest values and standards of
professionalism and all those who have worked with them are better for it.

printed manipulatives with custom crafted active learning activities to excite,
explain and interest students in the mathematics that they are learning (and also
in 3D printing).
